    Receives an official Certificate of Recognition acknowledging half a decade of commitment to measurement integrity.

  • 10 Years of Service
    Awarded a Custom Wooden Plaque commemorating a decade of ensuring equitable trade practices across Indiana.

  • 15 Years of Service
    Presented with a Pocket Knife, symbolizing the sharp attention to detail required in field inspections.

  • 20 Years of Service
    Honored with a Silver Watch, representing two decades of tireless dedication to consumer protection.

  • 25 Years of Service
    Members receive a Gold Watch in recognition of their quarter-century of dedication to weights and measures excellence.

Michael Quinn Stewardship Award

The Highest Honor in Indiana Weights & Measures

The Michael Quinn Stewardship Award represents the pinnacle of recognition within the Indiana Weights and Measures Association (INWMA). Established in 2024 to honor the legacy of La Porte County Inspector Michael Quinn, this prestigious award celebrates professionals who exemplify extraordinary leadership, innovation, and dedication to measurement integrity.

Honoring Excellence in Our Field
This annual award recognizes individuals who have:
Demonstrated 10+ years of exceptional service in weights and measures
Shown transformational leadership within INWMA or the broader measurement community
Advance the field through innovation, collaboration, or stewardship
Created a lasting legacy that inspires future professionals

Nomination & Selection

  • Eligibility: Open to current/former INWMA members or collaborators with significant Indiana/national impact.

  • Process: Requires nomination packets including:

    • Detailed justification letter

    • Professional resume

    • Two letters of support

    • Documentation of achievements

  • Deadline: March 31st annually
